- Michael Christou
Petersfield Town manager very happy with another pre-season victory
WICK 0 - 2 PETERSFIELD
my Club website match report.

Matt Lowe scored another goal for the Rams as they continued pre season with a commanding victory against Wick.
The first half remained evenly matched with chances coming few and far apart. Ryan Kennedy’s header was one of the best chances. A deep free kick was whipped in and Kennedy rose highest and forced a brilliant acrobatic save from the keeper.
The opening goal came close after half time. Michael Wright placed a beautiful cross to Matt Lowe, he showed great strikers instinct to get in front of his man and nod home the opener.
The second came midway through the half, Mike Prew latched on to through ball and with defenders around him h calmly slotted home in the bottom corner.
Debutant Rams keeper, Martin Gardiner was kept fairly quiet throughout the game. However he was called into action late on as Wick fired a powerful effort towards goal only to be well parried behind.

Lowe had a chance to grab his second late on as he ran through on goal, one on one, his shot was blocked by the keeper and Wick saw the game out.
Mark Summerhill will again be happy with his squad as they looked in control for most of the match. Summerhill’s Rams visit cove on Tuesday.
